After women’s college basketball standout Caitlin Clark declared her decision to enter the 2024 WNBA Draft, there has been a lot of hype around it. Headed by her, the Iowa Hawkeyes recently beat UConn 71-69 for its second straight national championship appearance against South Carolina.

The 2024 WNBA Draft will take place on April 15 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York. As the draft gets closer, Pat McAfee drops a confession in favor of Caitlin Clark. Also, following her decision to enter the draft, 2x WNBA champ Kelsey Plum drops her take on the 22-year-old’s offer to explore the Big 3’s $5M offer

Pat McAfee abandons Tom Brady’s Las Vegas Aces for Indiana Fever

In a recent YouTube episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Las Vegas Aces point guard Kelsey Plum joins Pat McAfee to talk about Caitlin Clark. In the video, McAfee admits he would rather ditch Tom Brady’s Aces and vouch for Caitlin Clark in Indiana. The former Indianapolis Colts punter said, “We’re supposed to be Las Vegas Aces fans, but the Caitlin Clark wagon’s coming to town, and we’re hopping on board… We’re on there, and it’s our league now.”

The Indiana Fever once again takes the privilege of the first pick for the second straight year. And among the prospective stars entering the draft this year, there is no question that Caitlin Clark will be the first name called. She is the best scorer in the history of men’s and women’s college basketball, holding an all-time Division I record and exceptional ability to score and pass. Thanks to her impact, she even garnered the most-watched women’s college basketball game in the Iowa vs LSU matchup. This led to her getting an offer from the 3-on-3 basketball league BIG3, making Kelsey Plum drop her weight on it.

Kelsey Plum drops her verdict on Caitlin Clark’s BIG3 offer

The current CEO and co-founder of BIG3, Rapper Ice Cube, confirmed a TMZ report that Clark was given a $5M offer to join the league. Kelsey Plum, who previously held the record for NCAA Division I women’s basketball all-time leading scorer, posed her opinions during her interview on The Pat McAfee Show. She said, “I know that [Caitlin Clark] isn’t the only one who has had offers from the BIG3 and that’s a lot of money for only 10 games.”

While Plum believes that Caitlin Clark might accept the proposed offer, she also feels that the Hawkeyes star might join both the BIG3 and WNBA. She added, “I think it really just depends on the individual person. But I will say that $5M is not something you just wave your hand at.” Whatever Caitlin Clark chooses eventually, we hope it’s for the best and will pave the way for her to become a women’s basketball GOAT.
