It’s a privilege to see the best basketball players up close. That experience, without a doubt, is a highlight in any basketball fan’s life.
However, things don’t always go as planned, as this father attests.
Apparently, he was expecting his eight-year-old son, whom he claimed saved $2,500 to purchase courtside tickets, to meet and possibly get an autograph from Stephen Curry.A father is upset with Steph Curry for ignoring his son after his 8-year-old son saved $2,500 and purchased a courtside seat at an NBA game. “Move back please says the security” pic.twitter.com/oLFkGy2KbJ

The game was against the Houston Rockets on October 30. Therefore, these guys may be Curry fans from Houston or nearby areas.
While it’s sad that the kid did not see his wish to meet the two-time MVP come true, this could be an opportunity for his dad to teach him life lessons.
What lessons? Namely, that people don’t always get what they want or invest that sum in something more worthwhile.
The Reactions
This is precisely what most people had in mind after the dad posted the interaction on social media. Besides the valid questions of how an 8-year-old saved $2,500, a few others offer words of wisdom and some controversial questions.

If this is indeed a meet and greet, there is no reason why Curry turns down a kid looking for his John Hancock.
On the other hand, people must realize this was a road game. More often than not, the arena’s security personnel probably did not permit the kid to come closer to his idol.
For all we know, someone must have told Curry to obey the security personnel no matter what, which he did.
It would have been a nice story if the kid got an autograph, but just being in those courtside seats doesn’t guarantee it
