The Golden State Warriors got a dominant road win against the Miami Heat tonight.
Stephen Curry and Co. blew out the reigning Eastern Conference Champions 113-92 amid their pursuit of the playoffs, improving to a 37-34 record, and are 10th in the Western Conference standings.
However, their position is not safe, as the Houston Rockets are only one win away from matching their record.
The Warriors have performed surprisingly well on the road this season and after tonight’s win, Stephen Curry and Co. are 19-15 away from home.
Their impressive road record has instilled confidence in Steph despite the struggles.
So, despite the Rockets threatening to take the Warriors’ play-in spot, Curry put the league on high alert with a bold claim citing one specific reason.
“That’s why we think we’re still a good team that can beat anybody.”
According to Steph, the Warriors are a much better team than their record and have underachieved on that front.
Steph claimed there is still belief in the team that they can get hot and beat any team in the Western Conference during the playoffs.
However, their road to the playoffs is getting tougher with each game.
With only 11 games remaining in the regular season, the Warriors need to stay nearly perfect to stay in the playoff race.

The Rockets are on a 9-game winning streak and can easily surpass the Warriors if they continue their hot streak.
Fortunately, the Warriors have the 4th easiest schedule in the league for the remaining 11 games, and they need to take advantage of this situation.
Steph Curry and Co. can be lethal in the playoffs, but they need to get there first to prove their mettle.
How did Stephen Curry and Co. beat the Miami Heat?
While Stephen Curry and Co. blew out the Miami Heat, they cannot be too satisfied with tonight’s win.
The Warriors were expected to come out with a win tonight, as Miami was playing extremely shorthanded.
Several Heat stars, including Jimmy Butler, Kevin Love, Tyler Herro, and Duncan Robinson, missed tonight’s game due to injury or illness.
Bam Adebayo tried to keep the Heat afloat, but could not do much in his teammates’ absence.
On the Warriors’ side of things, Klay Thompson played like his old self and led the game in scoring with 28 points. Jonathan Kuminga, Stephen Curry, and Andrew Wiggins also had a decent showing, combining for 52 points to bag the big W.
The Warriors cannot rely on their opponents being injured in every game.
They need to play well consistently if they wish to avoid the Rockets’ looming threat.
With 7 of their final 11 games on the road, it will be interesting to see if Stephen Curry and Co. can continue to dominate away from home.
