On Sunday evening, the San Antonio Spurs are playing the Golden State Warriors (at home) in Texas.

During the first half, star rookie Victor Wembanyama had an impressive highlight when he blocked two-time MVP Steph Curry’s shot attempt.

Wembanyama had six points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 2/5 from the field in his first ten minutes of playing time.

Wembanyama has had a spectacular season with averages of 21.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.4 blocks per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 32.4% from the three-point range in 65 games.

While the Spurs are a franchise that is in rebuilding mode, he has proven that he has the potential to be a top-five player in the league.

The Spurs entered the evening as the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with an 18-56 record in 74 games.
