Angel Reese has announced a decision on her basketball future.
Reese told reporters she was unsure of what to do following LSU’s NCAA Tournament exit on Monday night but had up to around 10:00 PM this Wednesday to announce a decision given that the WNBA requires layers to renounce their remaining NCAA eligibility 48 hours after their last game once they make it to the Elite Eight.
The Tigers star is taking her talents to the WNBA on the back of her recent disappointment, having revealed as much to Vogue Magazine.
Reece led LSU to a national championship last season and was named the tournament’s most outstanding player. But she was not able to help them past the Elite Eight this time around as Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes beat them 94-87 in a hotly contested game.

Reese has endured an eventful two seasons at LSU, having reached the pinnacle of college basketball with a title win that brought a hailstorm of media attention and rife scrutiny.
“I haven’t known a day of peace since (the national championship). And it sucks,” she said after Monday’s loss. “But I still wouldn’t change. I wouldn’t change anything.”
Angel Reese Insists She’s Ready For The WNBA
Angel Reese has told Vogue that she’s ready for professional basketball as she’s achieved everything at the college level. An All-American this season, she averaged 18.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game.
“I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” she said “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro—and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.”
Reese is expected to be a top-10 pick in the WNBA Draft.
