Tuesday night marks the start of the 2024 WNBA season, with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever attracting all the attention. Following an impressive collegiate career at Iowa, Clark was selected first in the 2024 WNBA Draft and is expected to establish himself as one of the league’s best players almost away.

The excitement around Clark’s WNBA debut has grown to such an extent that the Connecticut Sun, their first opponent of the season, saw a record sellout.

The result of having Caitlin Clark in town resulted in a sellout crowd, with 8,910 tickets sold for the game, the first time Connecticut has sold out their season opener since 2003, according to ESPN.

Additionally, ticket costs increase dramatically when a lot of fans try to go to these games. To put things in perspective, the lowest-priced tickets available on game day were $110, which is somewhat pricey for a WNBA event.
