Steph Curry – LeBron James: The “Four-Word Answer” Is Making a Storm (VIDEO)

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James hasn’t ruled out playing on the same team as Steph Curry in the future, after enjoying a “dream” summer at the Paris Olympics.

James and Curry were part of an All-Star Team USA roster that clinched gold at the Olympics, with Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, and Anthony Davis some of the other NBA stars picked by head coach Steve Kerr. Curry was the team’s points leader (14.8) while James had the most assists (8.5), and both players felt blessed to be wearing the same uniform.

The two NBA icons will once again become rivals this season, with Curry’s Golden State Warriors a major Western Conference threat to James’ Lakers. The Warriors and Lakers will face each other twice in preseason before the 2024-25 season begins, and during media availability, James was asked if he could ever be on the same team as Curry again.

Rather than shut down the question due to his age and inevitable retirement from the NBA, James said: “I have no idea.” James also admitted that playing with Curry was “Everything I dreamed of” after showing ultimate respect to the Warriors point guard.

It wasn’t just Curry that James praised, as he felt extremely confident heading into the Olympics due to the strength of the roster. “How do you lose when you have three of the best players to ever play the game of basketball?” James added.

Curry and James have graced the NBA together for 15 years, with LeBron entering the league in 2003 before Steph was drafted in 2009. Both have major respect for the other, but Curry admitted that they grew really close while in Paris for the Olympics.

“All the battles we’ve had on the court and the back and forth, the fact that we actually got to be teammates, not just in any game like an All-Star game or whatever, but in high stakes basketball with a lot on the line…I think there’s a deepened respect and friendship there,” Curry said to People.

“Hopefully, there will be more experiences in the future, even if we’re teammates or not.” While Curry would love to link up with James, for now, the focus at the Lakers is on the first father-son duo in NBA history.

James made it clear that he wanted to play with his son before retiring from basketball, and he’s now in a position to fulfill that demand after the Lakers selected Bronny James in the 2024 NBA Draft. At Lakers media day, Davis described just how much it meant to James.

“It just means the world to LeBron. It’s a different level of joy,” Davis said. “Obviously we all know the historical significance of the two. Going to share the court together so we embrace it.

“It’ll be even better when they’re on the same team, one throws a lob to the other or you get a fantastic play. We get to see that a couple of times in practice. I’m just honored to be here and witness that.”
