Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather

Conor McGregor frequently teases major comebacks but then goes quiet, causing fans to lose interest in his potential fights. However, the former UFC double champion is stirring up excitement by calling out boxing star Floyd Mayweather for a rematch, bringing his own brand of chaos to the conversation.

McGregor, the UFC superstar, is currently in Marbella, Spain, to promote Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship. While there, ‘The Notorious’ has set his sights on a rematch with boxing legend Mayweather. During the BKFC Spain weigh-ins, McGregor gave an intense interview with Jamal Niaz, where he issued a fiery challenge to ‘Money,’ calling for a bare-knuckle boxing showdown. He said,

“Floyd is a little pussycat. You’re doing bad conversations trying to get a boxing match at 155. Fight me [at] my weight. I’m the A-side… bare knuckle. McGregor [vs.] Mayweather 170 pounds. Let’s go baby, take off the gloves and fight b***ch. It’s happening, it’s happening. We’re trapping him in the corner. We have you trapped in the corner.”

The Irish fighter is eager to avenge his 2017 boxing loss to Mayweather. Their first fight was one of the biggest events in sports history, and now fans are keen to see a rematch. If it happens, it’s sure to generate just as much excitement.

Nate Diaz’s Coach Calls Out Conor McGregor For Trilogy Fight

The rematch between Diaz and McGregor at UFC 202 pulled in 15,539 fans and earned $7.69 million, making it the fifth-largest gate in UFC history. As fans look forward to McGregor’s return and Diaz’s potential MMA comeback, Diaz’s coach, Jake Shields, recently mentioned in an interview with Tim Welch that a third fight between the two would still be a massive draw that people are eager to watch.

“Nate is a superstar. I don’t know if Conor is ready to fight again, but Nate and Conor is the fight that makes sense again. That would just be a massive fight the fans want to see. Some people could knock it saying Conor has lost his last couple of fights. But its still a marquee super fight. Sometimes that is what is important.”

The trilogy between McGregor and Diaz remains incomplete, as Diaz’s UFC contract ended in 2022. Additionally, McGregor has not competed since suffering a leg injury against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the fight scene, whether it be in the octagon or the boxing ring, but the specifics of when and who he will face next remain uncertain.
