Mike Tyson Resonates Fans Thoughts; Takes A Dig At Jake Paul For Fighting “58-Year-Old Man”
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul
Mike Tyson has once again set tongues wagging, but this time, it’s not for his ferocious uppercuts but for his razor-sharp wit. The former heavyweight champ recently took a verbal jab at his upcoming opponent, Jake Paul. At a press conference in Las Vegas, Tyson was in rare form. He was there to promote his new energy supplement, LF*GO. But everyone was there to hear about his fight with Paul.
Tyson didn’t pull any punches when asked about the age gap between him and Paul. He revealed that if he were in Paul’s shoes, he would not fight a man twice his age. This sentiment resonates with the majority of fans and fighters.
“Well, I would never fight a 58-year-old man if I was 27.”
Many have questioned the wisdom of a man pushing 60 and stepping into the ring. But Mike Tyson, ever the showman, isn’t backing down. He has been training hard and talking big. The power puncher even made bold predictions about knocking Paul’s head off.
The fight, set for November 15th, has been a hot topic in the boxing world. Some see it as a circus act, others as a fascinating cross-generational clash. Either way, it’s got people talking. Paul, for his part, has been equally vocal. He’s even offered Tyson a $5 million bet. The catch is that Mike Tyson has to survive the first four rounds. If he doesn’t, he’ll need to get an “I love Jake Paul” tattoo!
Eddie Hearn Won’t Watch Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Despite Promoting FIghters On The Card
Eddie Hearn has been making waves with his recent comments about the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight. The match, set for next month at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, has been stirring up controversy in the boxing world, and the promoter didn’t mince words when discussing the bout.
Hearn called it a “huge shame” that Tyson, a legend of the sport, is stepping back into the ring at 58 years old. The Matchroom Boxing chairman’s concern is palpable, and frankly, it’s hard to blame him.
“I think it’s a huge shame that one of the biggest legends of the sport comes back 20 years after everybody knew he shouldn’t be boxing anymore. At 55 or however old he is. He’s 58? Jesus Christ, he’s nearly 60,” said Hearn via Michael Benson.
Interestingly, Hearn’s company is promoting fighters on the undercard. He is in the awkward position of supporting part of the event while openly criticizing its main attraction. The promoter plans to watch Katie Taylor’s fight against Amanda Serrano and then bolt. He does not plan on staying to watch a 58-year-old Tyson fight again.
