Caitlin Clark’s rookie season was one for the ages. The Indiana Fever young star struggled to find her rhythm but once she got used to the pace of the league, things got considerably better for her and her squad. They went from a 1-9 start to a 20-20 final record, leading the Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

In doing so, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star set and broke several records in the league, including becoming the first rookie and first Fever player to post a triple-double. Clark made it to the All-WNBA First Team this season, emulating what one of the biggest legends in the game did.

She became the first rookie guard to earn a spot on this team since Diana Taurasi did the same in 2004.

Fans were ecstatic to learn about this, with some taking the time to clap back at Clark’s haters.

“20 years! But ppl thought she would struggle. Haters are big mad!” one fan said.

“All WNBA as a ROOKIE that was exhausted. Its gonna be belt to a** season in year 2,” another fan predicted.

“Bad day to be [Sheryl Swoopes],” another fan said.

Others predicted that this young woman is going to mark an era in this league.

“She will be the micheal Jordan of the W when it’s all said in done. She’ll even take an early retirement to try pro golf out before coming back and winning more chips 🙌🏼,” one fan said.

Charles Barkley makes bold prediction about Caitlin Clark’s dominance over the WNBA

After proving she’s legit against the professionals, Caitlin Clark drew high praise from plenty of analysts and players.

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley named her one of the women who will rule the WNBA for the next two decades alongside somebody who’s not even in the league at this moment, via the “Throwbacks” podcast:

[43:00] “I tell all them bitter, angry girls in the WNBA who are upset about Caitlin Clark to move over more because JuJu is special. Number one, I want to give a shout-out to Caitlin for what she’s done for women’s basketball over the last three years. It’s been incredible, and I wish those women would embrace it, but that girl JuJu is the real deal.

“… Caitlin is a supernova and JuJu probably’s a better player. So those two women going to be running the WNBA for the next 10, 12, 14, 15, 20 years, basically.”

Caitlin Clark finished her rookie season averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Those are pretty good numbers and she’s only starting.
