‘Scripted’: NFL Fans Are Convinced They Already Have The Script For Super Bowl LXII | HO

Atlanta has been chosen as the host of Super Bowl LXII in 2028, and now we wait to see who will take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wait, what?

The National Football League announced on Tuesday that the big game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and many were already wondering which two teams would be there.

NFL Insider at ESPN FieLd Yates seemingly leaked the script when he took to X, formerly Twitter, and stated that the opponent for the Kansas City Chiefs “has yet to be determined.”

That may have been funny to him, but many fans thought the script was real and would play out just as he stated.

“This is a tremendous honor for the city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia to be selected as host for Super Bowl LXII,” Falcons owner Arthur M. Blank said. “Thank you to my fellow owners for their trust in awarding Atlanta this opportunity, and thank you to Commissioner Goodell, Peter O’Reilly, and the entire league for their continued leadership in making the NFL the greatest sports league in the world. Mercedes-Benz Stadium was built to host the world’s largest sporting events, and I know I speak for many when I say we are honored to bring it back to Atlanta in 2028 and build off the success of Super Bowl 53 in 2019. I look forward to working alongside our city and state officials as we continue to elevate Georgia as a premier, global sports destination.”

The last time the Chiefs played a game inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium was last month when the team walked out with a 22-17 victory.

Patrick Mahomes completed 26 of 39 passes for 217 yards. Wide receiver Rashee Rice had a game-high 12 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Kansas City Chiefs Making The Super Bowl In 2028 Is Not Set In Stone

The Kansas City Chiefs are already predicted to make the Super Bowl in 2028, which was announced to be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The team will look vastly different by then, as Patrick Mahomes will be 32, and tight end Travis Kelce is unlikely to be in the league since he is already 35.

Then again, going against Patrick Mahomes is never a good idea.
