Taylor Swift has sent a warning letter to a college student who tracked her private jet, while the country music princess is threatening to take stronger legal action.
According to a report from CNN on the 6th (local time), Swift’s lawyer sent a warning letter to a computer programming student at the University of Central Florida – Jack Sweeney (21 years old), who operated the X account (formerly on Twitter) to track the flight paths of celebrities, including Swift, last December.
In addition, Taylor Swift’s side also emphasized that if this privacy violation does not stop, the female singer will take stronger legal actions to thoroughly enforce it.

In the letter, Taylor Swift’s lawyer stated: “This may be a game or a way to make money or fame for you, however, it is a matter of life and death for my client. This information does not serve any legal or public interest, other than to stalk, harass, exploit and control the victim.”
The attorney also claimed that the private jet tracking posed an “immediate threat” to Swift’s safety and well-being.
The country singer’s lawyers also stressed that the shared location information could serve as a ‘roadmap’ to carry out criminal plans if Swift faced significant threats, such as armed intruders.
In addition to Swift, college student Sweeney also operates accounts tracking the private planes of other figures such as Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, and Bill Gates.
Regarding receiving the cease-and-desist letter, Sweeney insisted he had no intention of harming Swift and said his account was merely providing an incomplete itinerary of cities Taylor might visit, similar to an artist’s announcement of concerts or NFL games she might attend.
