The Game (DR) / Warriors / (DR)
With their defeat against the Pelicans, the Warriors find themselves in the very uncomfortable 10th place in the Western Conference.
And before the last game of the regular season, Steve Kerr made an announcement that did not go over with the fans.
Last season, with 45 victories, the Warriors would have finished in 4th or 5th place in the Western Conference.
This year, while the competition is tougher than ever, they will certainly have to settle for a 10th place and therefore a passage through the play in.
It’s cruel, but the best they can hope for is a first round against the No. 1 seed.
If it’s Oklahoma City, they will be able to rely on their experience to create a surprise.
Likewise if they have to face the Timberwolves, who do not yet have a huge collective experience.
On the other hand, if they face the reigning champions, the mission will be complicated.
Finally, to plan ahead, you will already have to win two play-in matches.
Steve Kerr’s controversial decision before the play in
And after this Friday’s defeat against Zion Williamson and the Pelicans, Steve Kerr finds himself in a complex situation.
Either he rests his players for the last match of the season and accepts this 10th place, or he counts on his stars to hope to gain a place and a home advantage.
He obviously made his choice, against the advice of the fans.
Of course I will rest my players for the last match of the regular season.
You obviously prefer to play at home, but in any case we will find ourselves facing a succession of challenges.
Two play-in matches, then the first round of the playoffs 48 hours later.
I prefer to focus on the form of my players for next week.
If the defeat against the Pelicans this Friday hurts, the Warriors can still climb the rankings on the last day and gain home advantage for a play-in match.
Steve Kerr knows it, but he doesn’t give it any importance, since he is going to rest his frames in preparation for next week.
A decision that does not please the fans, disappointed after this difficult season:
I hate Steve Kerr

I hate Steve Kerr
Warriors fans will have to get used to the idea of finishing in 10th place in the Western Conference.
The worst thing is that with at least 45 victories on the clock, they are far from having a bad season.
