Fans online are losing it over a photo of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark in the process of putting a player on her back during her WNBA debut.

Clark suited up for her new team on Friday night, scoring a game-high 21 points in a 79-76 loss to the Dallas Wings. She made several highlight-reel plays, but one stands out as the coldest.

The former Iowa star calmly hit a three after putting Dallas guard Jacy Rae Sheldon on skates late in the first quarter. Check it out in the video below:

Here’s how social media reacted:

Whether it was or not is up for debate, but everyone can agree that Sheldon wasn’t crossed up. That doesn’t mean the play wasn’t impressive, though.

Analyzing Caitlin Clark’s Debut

Caitlin Clark couldn’t lead the Fever to a win on Friday, but she got pretty close. She missed a shot at the final buzzer that would have sent the game into overtime.

Clark shot 6-of-15 from the field and 5-for-13 from three, adding three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. While her debut was impressive, she missed many more shots than she made.

Of course, it was only her first game in the pros, so any criticism would be harsh.

“It’s just a learning process,” Fever head coach Christie Sides said, per USA Today. “Learning (Clark) and learning the rest of our team. And finding out who’s playing well and which rotation.”

Meanwhile, the Fever will play another preseason game against the Atlanta Dream next Friday before beginning the regular season against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, May 14.
